Bangkok is one of my favorite cities in Asia. It has so much to offer from beautiful temples, amazing food and crazzzzy shopping.  You won't regret visiting this city. Luckily, Cebu Pacific flies to BKK from Manila and I got the best round trip ticket deal for Php 4,300.  I visited BKK twice, 1st trip was with my sister and the 2nd trip was with friends.

Stay
  • Baiyoke Boutique Hotel - ideal for shopping the hotel is located in Pratunam area the shopping haven/wholesale market. Platinum Fashion Mall is just 8 mins away from the hotel by foot.
  • Nisachon's Condo via Airbnb - ideal if you're traveling in a group. The condo's location is situated in the heart of Bangkok. You are within walking distance to great restaurants & bars.

See
  • Grand Palace no visit to Bangkok would be complete without visiting the Grand Palace. This is the residence of the King and across it is the famous Wat Pho temple. Half a day should be enough to visit both places.
  • Chocolate Ville - a restaurant with a concept of European Village. It is an hour away from the city via taxi but definitely worth the visit.
  • Jim Thompson House - a museum in Bangkok near Siam. Jim Thompson is an american entrepreneur famous for establishing the silk industry.
  • The Dome at Lebua, Sky Bar - the worlds' highest open bar (63rd floor) which will give you a 360 view of Bangkok. Best time to visit is around 5pm just in time for cocktails. Don't forget to wear pretty clothes since they have a dress code :)
  • Bangkok Floating Market - it's all about FOOOOOOD!
  • Samphran Elephant Ground -meet and greet the Elephants.

Shop

  • The Platinum Mall - it's the largest wholesale & retail fashion mall in Bangkok. Pure shopping haven! Make sure to buy in 3s!
  • Chatuchak Weekend Market - an outdoor market where you can find anything under the sun from fashion to furniture.
  • Terminal 21 - a travel theme mall. Every floor is themed after a major city - Tokyo, London and more.

Eat
  • Once upon a time - A traditional thai restaurant in the heart of BKK. Their Tom Yum soup is simply the best!
  • Grey Hound - One of the famous cafes in BKK to chill and dine. Must try their shrimp fettuccine and fried thai chicken wings.

Try
  • Thai Cooking Class - I recommend Silom Thai Cooking School. Attend the morning class which starts at 9AM until 1PM. You will learn to cook a complete Thai meal. For first timers choose set A - Tom Yum, Pad Thai, Green Curry with Chicken & Mango Sticky Rice. For only 1000 Baht you get to cook, eat and meet new friends from around the world.
