Palawan is another place that has lingered in my travel consciousness for some time and finally I got to visit it! Dubbed as the city in a forest. It's a 45 minute plane ride from my city. As soon as we arrived we headed directly to Bona's Vietnamese Chaolong then to El Nido which I will do a separate post. If you are planning to visit Puerto Princesa & El Nido, I suggested to go to El Nido first since it is a 6hr drive from Puerto Princesa. I always stick to my travel rule "farthest to nearest".  Spent a total of 5 days in this lovely city - 2 1/2 days in El Nido + 2 1/2 Puerto Princesa. Puerto Princesa tour should be book via travel agency since it requires permit ( for the underground river tour) and the tourist spots are quite far. Booked via ensogo there are a lot of all-in promos going on!

Our itinerary:
✔Bona's Vietnamese Chaolong
✔Mangrove paddle boat tour
✔Subterranean River National Park
Kalui seafood restaurant

Chaolong - it's an authentic Vietnamese dish made of rice noodles with meat (pork or beef) and garnished with bean sprouts. Bona's has been considered the best restaurant that serves this dish! And make sure to pair it with their garlic bread! Heaven!

Buto-buto with noodles special Php 55 + garlic bread Php 20

Subterranean River National Park / Underground River Tour

Kalui is the most famous restaurant in Puerto Princesa. It is a must visit place among tourists. Your tour in Palawan wouldn't be complete if you haven't visit this place. Kalui provides the best customer service. Once you enter the restaurant, you will be greeted by their friendly staff. Kalui Restaurant is made of native wooden house. Its floor is clean and well-polished, you wouldn't mind to walk barefoot because every footwear should be left before entering the restaurant. Your footwear will be placed in small lockers. They offer a wide variety of menu which depends on the fresh catch of the day. Everything on the menu are seafoods and vegetables which includes sashimi, tempura, shellfish soup, sinigang, baked mussel and many more. Source: http://www.kaluirestaurant.com/
